Class of 1987 - 25th Anniversary
Date: October 13, 2012
By Jeff McCuen

To the Fall '87 Pledge Class... Hey guys, let's all make plan to be back at Delta Delta a year from now (October 13, 2012) for the best Homecoming that Purdue has ever seen - and to celebrate our 25th reunion! You've got plenty of time to plan, so no excuses!

But... to make it great, we need to get everyone back! I could only find a handful of us on Facebook, so I need your help tracking our other pledge brothers down.

If you are like me, you probably forgot a few names. Click on the headline to see a list that I actually found in my old college note binder! (clearly from a dot-matrix printer! circa 1987 technology).

Welcoming Our Newest Alumni
We want to welcome our 3 most recent alumni of the Delta Delta Chapter:
•   Tanner Stieglitz (tkstiegl@gmail.com) is in the Indianapolis area applying to Grad school while looking for full-time jobs. He just graduated from The Krannert School of Management in Accounting.
•   Joey Reitsma (jreitsma53@gmail.com) is in the Dallas area and is an Accounting Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He also graduated from The Krannert School in Accounting.
•   Kyle Hodges (hodges.purdue@gmail.com) is in the Dallas area and is the Business Development Manager at Hie Electronics. Kyle is another proud graduate of The Krannert School of Business Management.

For any alumni out there who can help any recent grads launch their career, please don't hesitate to reach out to them!

The Delta Sig Love Connection
With Valentine's Day approaching, we thought we'd get in the spirit and ask our graduates if any of them met their spouses or significant others thanks to Delta Sig.

Paul Cantrell '93
writes, "Back in 1990 in my first year living in the house as a sophomore, we convinced a few freshman women from Lafayette to be part of our 'Delta Darling' program. They and the other 20 or so darlings hung out at the house a lot over those first few weeks of school. One of them, April, who was clearly out of my league, figured I was playing some sort of game with her by not actively pursuing her. In reality I was just intimidated. We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary in July. Good memories."

Did you meet your spouse or significant other thanks to Delta Sig? Share your love stories, and read other brothers', on the message board.

It’s Rush Season
Welcome all to the new semester of rush. We are continuing the dynamic recruiting and getting great responses back from it. We encourage ideas, support and even visits from the alumni. Delta Sig is always on the lookout for high-caliber young men to join the Delta Sig ranks, and we want our alums to participate in this process. If you have a potential rush recommendation, please contact the undergrad rush director Blake Pederson at (812)343-0425. You can also reach out to him for any general information or to just RSVP. Rush is held every Wednesday up until the Superbowl.

Basketball: Time for Your Own ‘Breakaway’
Let’s get rowdy for the Purdue Men’s Basketball team and be the 12th men on the court, D-Sigs style. To keep in contact with the undergrads for tickets or information about attending, contact our undergrad alumni relations person, Rob Havel at (317)691-8323. For parking or other information about traveling, please contact the undergrad president Alec Bangs at (765)404-1965.

Grand Prix
The DSP Grand Prix team this year is looking to regain the title after a year of close competition. They have budgeted their year and are looking for about $3,500 in sponsorships from local companies, alumni, and undergrad associates. One of their focuses is to bring back the #1 spot and win the Electrical Kart (EV) Grand Prix Race, a radically accepted competition from around the US focusing on design and skill. This is a highly encouraged event to attend for the pure enjoyment of the Indie native sport. Please contact the crew chief Tyler Giffel at (317)432-3520 for any more information.

Guessing Game
Who knows? Can you guess where in the House this is?

If you know, contact Kyle Hodges at (765) 337-8246 or hodges.purdue@gmail.com for your shot at the big prize!
