What's YOUR Story?Wouldn't it be great if someone could make a movie about our Delta Sig experience? Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, for some) the cameras weren't rolling during our days at Purdue. The experience we shared can only live on through our memories, stories and photos.
While we all shared the same great experience, we each have our own unique stories to tell from it. And we need your help to document them!
Tell us a great story or two that you fondly remember from your undergraduate days. We'll feature the best stories on our web site and in future print publications.
Continued... A Letter from Chapter Advisor Bill BrayFellow Delta Delta alums,
It’s good to be a Delta Sig. It’s even better being a Delta Delta member these days. After 3 plus years as a chapter advisor, I’ve never been more impressed with the efforts of these young men to maximize their undergraduate experience.
Their recent achievements are compelling. Last year, they beat the All-Men’s GPA for the first time in over 5 years. This occurred on the heels of a successful (yet challenging) membership review in which some hard choices were made about the future of the chapter and who was going to be a part of it. The work ethic this year has been outstanding. The appearance of the house is a testament to the values they’ve embraced. New letters have been added to the front wall and the bathroom renovations rival any we’ve seen in any house. As a boost to this rising enthusiasm, this spring they entered an electric cart in the inaugural electric vehicle grand prix…..and won! What an accomplishment!!
Our current ACB is reaching out to recruit new interest. Alumni involvement sustains the house and drives the undergrads to become even better, and provides brothers with positive role models and a sense of life in the fraternity after graduation. Our current board has seasoned and would like to incorporate new members to carry the torch forward. As you read this, consider your experiences at Delta Delta and how they shaped your future. The time commitment is considerably less than what you might think, meetings in some cases can be conducted electronically, but our presence and support of the house is needed now more than ever.
Please take a moment and think about giving back to the fraternity, not with dollars but with your time and energy. Contact Scott Uelner (scott.uelner@accenture.com) or myself (braymd@att.net) to express your interest in helping Delta Delta move forward.
YITBOS,
Bill Bray, Chapter Advisor
